Electronic Filing (e-File) Related Questions

Your firm has just e-Filed my tax return.  When will I receive my refund?
Please refer to the IRS Refund Cycle Chart, which can be found here (Adobe Acrobat required).  Notice that there are two different dates, based upon the refund method you selected.  If you chose to receive your refund as a check in the mail, it normally takes a week longer than the Direct Deposit method.

My tax return has been e-Filed, but it is taking longer than expected.  What has happened to my refund?
The IRS has created a "Where's My Refund" website, which you can access here.  If you need further assistance after you have inquired your refund status with the IRS, we'll be happy to assist you.

Please refer to our Stock Form, which can be found here.  Once you have organized your stocks like the way our form guides you to, the IRS will allow you to claim a maximum of $3000 of stock loss from your earned income.  You are entitled to claim $3000 each year until you finally exhaust all of your loss.

H1-B Visa Related Questions

I plan to return to my home country after my H1-B visa expires.  Can I open an IRA?  Why should I open an IRA?
Yes, you can still open IRA.  If you would like to learn more about IRA's, please ask us!  There are different kinds of IRA's with unique advantages to even H1-B Visa holders, like saving tax dollars.  If you can avoid paying taxes legally and keep your hard earned money, why not?  We are a certified investment broker and encourage you to contact us so that you can utilize our investment planning services to your advantage.

After my job was terminated, I returned back to my home country.  Why should I file my tax return?
The answer is both simple and serious.  First, you want to get your tax return to get your refund.  Even if you worked for a short time period last year and if you received a W2-Form, you should claim your taxes and get your money back because you earned it and deserve it.  Also, the INS will use the income tax returns you had filed during your stay in America as criteria whether or not go grant you another visa in the future.  If you are granted a visa to enter the United States again in the future, the IRS may also inquire why you had failed to submit a tax return earlier.

I have been living in the United States, but I have a Spouse who is living outside the United States.  He/She does not have a Social Security Number (SSN), but is there a way I can claim him/her in my income tax return?
Yes, you can.  An Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) will enable you to claim your spouse on your tax return.  You need to contact us as soon as possible so that we can prepare your ITIN application.  The ITIN application must be filed with your tax return and it is critical that you act as soon as possible because the application process takes usually an hour to complete.  We urge you to act early so that we can keep your ITIN application ready and expedite your tax return process.  Thus, the sooner we begin the ITIN application, the sooner you will receive your income tax refund.

When I took my job in America, my employer paid for my plane ticket, but I had to pay for my spouse's plane ticket out of my pocket.  Can I claim this cost as a deduction?
Please fill our a Mover's Form, which can be found here.  We will use the information given to claim your moving expenses.

I had filed as a "Single" in previous tax returns, but now my spouse has a SSN.  Is there a way I can get back the money I had lost in previous income tax returns?
You can claim the money you had lost in the past by amending your previous tax returns.  H1 Tax Services Corp. is very familiar and proficient with the income tax return amendment process and is dedicated to obtaining the highest refund possible given your scenario.  To have us amend your tax return, please submit a copy of it to us.
